Kyle Hammer scores Top-10 finish in Gateway Dirt Nationals finale at The Dome

Bringing back his Super Late Model to the The Dome at America's Center (St. Louis, Mo.), Kyle Hammer took part in the first preliminary night of the Gateway Dirt Nationals on Thursday evening.

With a strong 66-car field in the building, Hammer qualified 10th-quickest in his group before charging forward from fourth-to-first in his heat race for the victory. Kyle started sixth in the quick 25-lap prelim and wound up eighth.

On Saturday afternoon, Hammer raced his way into the $30,000-to-win finale by winning his qualifier over Jadon Frame. During the 40-lap main event, Kyle fell backwards early before rallying late and sneaking into the Top-10 in ninth.
