Illinois Dirt Shootout brings Kyle Hammer back to Fairbury Speedway
Kyle Hammer was one of 50 MARS Modified Championship Series entries at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday afternoon for the Illinois Dirt Shootout.
Laying down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group, Hammer picked up a heat race victory and earned the sixth-starting position in the 50-lap main event. Kyle was involved in an early-race incident which resulted in a 24th-place finish.
