Kyle Hammer scores fifth-place finish with Hell Tour at LaSalle Speedway
Piloting the Stevie Sheppard-owned No. 5S machine for the week, Kyle Hammer joined the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Tuesday afternooon at Benton (Mo.) Speedway to kick off the fourth week of the Hell Tour.
After dissappointing finishes at Benton and Spoon River, Hammer recorded his best run on Thursday evening with a fifth-place finish at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway. He charged to the Top-5 from the 14th-starting position.
Hammer competed in the holiday weekend's $10,000-to-win shows, but recorded a DNF in both of them.
