Hammer 11th in Tom Pasek Memorial; podium outing at Fairbury Speedway
On Friday afternoon, Kyle Hammer was one of 45 MARS Modified entries at Kankakee (Ill.) County Speedway on Friday evening for the lucrative $5,094-to-win Tom Pasek Memorial.
Laying down the sixth-fastest lap in his qualifying group, Hammer grabbed the final A-Main transfer spot in his heat and started 15th in the feature. Kyle drove to an 11th-place finish in the 40 lapper.
With Saturday's MARS event rained out, Hammer headed over to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway for a weekly Modified event. Starting sixth in the 25-lap main event, Kyle recorded a podium finish in third behind Chase Holland and Jeff Curl.
