Hammer lands on podium at Peoria Speedway with MARS Modified Series
Losing Friday's opener to Mother Nature, Kyle Hammer followed the MARS Modified Championship Series to Peoria (Ill.) Speedway for the Garry Swibold Memorial on Saturday evening.
With a stout field of 35 entries on site, Hammer put down a quick lap in his qualifying group before racing to a heat race win. Kyle started from the second-row in the $2,098-to-win maint event and recorded a podium outing in third. He trailed Michael Ledford and Cole Falloway.
